Dr. Ashwin has over 15 years of experience in surgical oncology. He is an European Board certified surgical oncologist. He completed Oncology Fellowships in Gynecologic Oncology, Breast Conservation Surgery, and Oncoplasty. Dr. Ashwin is a trained Robotic Surgeon and has performed over 500 complex robotic surgeries. He is one of India’s first trained Cytoreductive and HIPEC surgeon. He has been awarded multiple international and national awards with over 100 publications. Dr Somashekhar who did his MBBS from Mysore University, MS (Gen. Surgery) from NHL Medical College, MCh (Surgical Oncology) from GCRI Regional Cancer Centre has various other academic accomplishments including Fellowship in Robotic Surgery from Roswell Cancer Centre, Buffalo, USA. He had training in Gynaecological Oncology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Advanced Liver Surgery at Paul Brouses Hospital, Paris, Thoracic Onco Fellowship at Shanghai Chest Institute Beijing, Breast & Oncoplasty Fellowship from IEO Italy and UPMC Pittsburgh. Dr. Darshan completed his basic medical training in 2008 from JJM Medical College in Davangere, which is one of the most esteemed the oldest private medical college in the state. Later in 2010, he went on to complete his MS in General Surgery from the same institute. He underwent extensive training in the Dept of Surgical Oncology in the esteemed comprehensive cancer care set up under the able guidance of some of the stalwarts of surgical oncology in Bengaluru. He even did a short fellowship in minimally invasive surgeries from VG hospital, Coimbatore. He has also worked in Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore as a surgical faculty training the budding surgeons.
