Sacrococcygeal teratoma (SCT) is a tumor that originates during fetal development and grows from the coccyx, commonly referred to as the tailbone. It represents the most prevalent tumor observed in newborns, occurring in approximately 1 out of every 35,000 to 40,000 live births. This tumor typically possesses a skin covering, although in some cases, it might be enveloped by a delicate, translucent layer known as a membrane. Many tumors are characterized by the presence of numerous blood vessels traversing through them. These growths exhibit varying sizes and occasionally extend either outward from the back or towards the child's abdomen.
